BLeGIT SIG
It is the Mission of the Bisexual, Lesbian, Gay, Intersexed, Transgendered Interpreters/Transliterators (BLeGIT) of TSID to be a forum for discussing current interpreting issues, provide information and resources for professional development opportunities and provide a professional and positive venue for discussing topics specific to the BLeGIT community, and primary support the members of the special interest group. All TSID members are welcome.
Contract Interpreters SIG
The Contract Interpreters SIG supports interpreters working as independent contractors in a variety of community, legal, medical, and educational settings to provide a professional and supportive environment with a particular focus on developing sound business practices. All TSID members are welcome.
Deaf Parented Interpreters SIG
The Deaf Parented Interpreters (DPI) SIG of the Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf (TSID) to be a forum for providing a support group, discussing current interpreting issues, provide information, and resources for professional development opportunities, and provide a professional, and positive venue for discussing topics specific to the DPI community and outreach. All TSID members are welcome.
Educational Interpreters SIG
The Educational SIG supports interpreters working in all educational fields to provide a safe and comfortable environment in which to share, learn, and grow as professional educational interpreters. All TSID members are welcome
Interpreter Coordinators SIG
The Interpreter Coordinator SIG supports TSID members responsible for managing interpreters. This SIG aims to provide a safe and comfortable environment in which to share, learn, and grow as professionals in the interpreting field. All TSID members are welcome.
Interpreter Educators SIG
To provide a forum for Interpreter Educators to openly discuss trends in the field, share ideas and knowledge, and support the common goal of successful student outcomes. All TSID members are welcome.
Legal/Court Interpreters SIG
The Legal and Court Interpreter SIG supports TSID members working or desiring to work in the legal and court settings. This SIG aims to provide a safe and comfortable environment in which to share, learn, and grow as professionals in the interpreting field. All TSID members are welcome.

Professional Deaf Interpreters SIG
The purpose of Professional Deaf Interpreters SIG of the Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf (TSID) is to advocate for the needs and interests of TSID members who are Deaf and to strengthen the ties between all members and officers of the TSID by open recognition of the bilingual and bicultural diversity of the TSID membership. All TSID members are welcome.
Religious Interpreters SIG
The purpose is to embrace the development, strengthening, and enhancement of a network of interpreters in religious-based settings. All TSID members are welcome.
Student SIG
The Student SIG supports students enrolled all ITP Programs within the state of Texas to provide a safe and comfortable environment in which to share, learn, and grow as developing interpreting and DSS students. All TSID members are welcome.
Trilingual SIG
The purpose of Trilingual Interpreters SIG of the Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf (TSID) is to advocate for the needs and interests of TSID members who serve the Deaf community in facilitating communication with American Sign Language, English, and Spanish and to strengthen the ties between all members and officers of the TSID by open recognition of the trilingual and multi-cultural diversity of the TSID membership. All TSID members are welcome.
